Noosa Gets Wet

by Pelican Beach Resort Noosa 11. January 2011 16:18

Even with all the Rain, Pelican Beach Resort is still high and dry and we have reports from some of our guests choosing their accommodation at Pelican Beach Resort that the fishing is still going well.  With all of the fresh in the river the best time is with the incoming tide near the river mouth.

We do have a few guests stranded who cannot get home due to the Queensland Floods and we are doing our best to look after them.

Even with the very heavy rainfall we are fortunate in that at the time of writing there is very little flooding along the Noosaville foreshore with the exception of part of the street in Noosaville and Tewantin that has water over the road at high tide. Pelican Beach Resort is still fully functional and those choosing their accommodation are still wining and dining, playing tennis in the rain, sitting in the heated spa and sauna and still toasting their choice for Noosa Accommodation.

Below is a photo of the river just before high tide taken at 12.30pm on Tuesday 11 01 2011
